Why this teaches algorithms

Wordle, at its core, is a constraint satisfaction problem disguised as a word game. Every guess acts like a search query, and every round of feedback narrows the remaining candidate set by revealing which letters to include, exclude, or reposition.

The same structure appears in search algorithms, SAT solvers, binary search, and probabilistic filtering. Strong players naturally reason about search spaces, branching factors, constraints, and expected information gain — they are practicing algorithmic thinking before they have even named it.
